Nigeria Super Eagles trained in darkness following a Power blackout at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday, which forced coach Jose Peseiro to call off training as all attempts to switch to a power generator proved futile.

The embarrassing incident left fans disappointed with the national team, citing such incidents as the reason why some foreign-born players such as England’s Bukayo Saka had previously turned down invitations to play for Nigeria.

Another Nigeria Fan Azubuike Julius, Wrote This is shameful. Even my very self can put a call through to NEPA to restore light at my place of work, let alone NFF. Who is deceiving who? What are they trying to prove by allowing darkness in the stadium?
