Harry Kane’s record goal helped Tottenham beat Manchester City 1-0 on Sunday as Pep Guardiola’s side failed to make up ground in the Premier League title race.
Kane became Spurs’ all-time top scorer when he sent his side ahead in the 15th minute after finding space inches inside the City box and slotting past goalkeeper Ederson.
City striker Erling Haaland failed to register a shot and the closest City came to a goal was Riyad Mahrez’s strike, which hit the crossbar in first-half stoppage time.
