The Indomitable Lions secured a point in Monday’s 3-3 draw against Serbia as Cameroon striker Vincent Abubakar came off the bench and score one goal and set up another as the Indomitable Lions rescued a point in their 3-3 draw.
Jean-Charles Castelletto gave Cameroon the lead just before the half-hour mark, but late in the first period, quick strikes from Strahinja Pavlovic and the very impressive Sergej Milinkovic-Savic turned the game in Serbia’s favour.
When Aleksandar Mitrovic added another early in the second period, it looked like his side were in complete control and on their way to victory.
But Aboubakar, top scorer in the Africa Cup of Nations final earlier this year, turned the game around when he came off the bench. He bravely slotted a superb solo goal past the keeper to reduce the deficit, before assisting forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to equalize three minutes later.
