An autopsy on the body of Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of David and fiancée Chioma Roland, revealed Saturday that he died of complications from drowning, the Lagos State Police Command said on Saturday.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the development in a chat with our correspondent.
Hundeyin said: “The autopsy has been completed. It confirms that the boy (Ifeanyi) drowned.”
Africhome had earlier reported that there are indications that the police may conduct an autopsy to determine how Ifeanyi died after drowning in a swimming pool at his father’s residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos state.
According to Africhome sources Davido family is still in shock and hasn’t said anything, but the standard procedure is to have an autopsy performed, and we will follow that procedure as we would in any other death.
The source further stated that of the eight domestic workers questioned by police in connection with Ifeanyi’s death, the cook and nanny who had been entrusted with the health care of the three-year-old boy had been accused of breaking the law. said he was arrested in Duty of care of minors.
