7 Persons Feared Dead After Eating Suya Meat In Abia Community (Photos)

Disturbing reports coming in from Abia State has it that not fewer than seven persons has been confirmed dead after eating barbecue meat popular known as suya at Umueze Umuakanu Umuahia North LGA, Abia State

According to Africhome News Team sources, the Father of the house Mr. Jessey was said to have bought the suya from a road side Suya seller, brought it home, ate together with all his family’s members, including extended families who came for holiday visits.

Africhome further gathered that only the Wife Mrs Ogba Jessey, and his son survived. She is currently receiving treatment at Federal Medical Centre Umuahia and not aware that other members of the family have passed on.

They were said to have started throwing up after eating the suya suspected to have been poisoned. The deceased have been deposited in the morgue while the surviving victims are currently receiving treatment
