A Nigerian police officer, Sergeant Kabiru Isah who is attached to the Command’s Motor Traffic Division (MTD) in Kano, has honorably returned the sum of N1,294,200.00 found at a scene of a fatal accident.
The command’s spokesperson, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa stated that the victim of the accident was knocked down to death by a trailer along Zaria road, kano and was in possession of the said amount of money arranged in a shoebox.
Accoding to Africhome sources, the officer discovered the money while he was conducting scene analysis minutes after the accident.
The money was however returned to the victim’s family. Overwhelmed with the behaviour displayed by the police officer, the Managing Director, Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA) Dr Baffa Babba Dan Agundi, rewarded the officer with N100K.
