The Association of Table Water Producers of Nigeria, Port Harcourt chapter, has embarked on strike in protest against the planned increase in price of sachet water popularly known as ‘pure water’ in the state.
The sachet water producers had earlier informed the public of the proposed hike, which would see the cost of a bag of the commodity, usually containing 20 sachets of ‘pure water’, rise from N100 to N120 and a sachet from N10 to N20.
