Nigeria Soldiers stationed at Ukworji checkpoint, along Owerri-Onitsha Road have moments ago, reportedly escaped death as they allegedly ran away on sighting unknown gunmen.
According to a source, the gunmen invaded the checkpoint and set all the operational van on fire.
This is coming less than three hours after the Imo State Police headquarter and Correctional Home close to the Government House were set ablaze with about 2000 inmates freed.
