A woman, Victoria Joseph, has been arrested by the police for selling her two-week old grandchild. The baby boy was recovered in Imo State by men of the Trans-Amadi Police Divisional headquarters two weeks after she sold the baby.

The mother of the child, Antonia Joseph, narrated how her mother tricked her and took her to Akwa Ibom State for the delivery.

She also accused her mother of conniving with the nurse to sell the baby.
