
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Anambra State Command has intercepted a truck loaded with over one thousand nine hundred and ten kilograms of banned and hard drugs worth millions of naira at Amawbia.

Also the Command arrested fourteen suspects connected with trafficking drugs and other drug crimes in the State.
The State Commander of the NDLEA, Mr Mohammed Idris made the revelations in a press briefing at the state command headquarters of the agency in Awka.
The drugs were hidden in loads of gallons of oil, bathroom slippers, vehicle and motor cycle spare parts and many other good.

The drugs seized are one thousand, six hundred and thirty five kilogrammes of cannabis sativa popularly known as indian hemp, and four hundred and twenty two thousand tablets of two hundred and twenty five milligrammes of tramadol weighing two hundred and thirty five kilogrammes.

Others include ten thousand tablets of diazapharm which weighs four point six kilogrammes, one hundred thousand thousand tablets of exol five and zero point one-zero kilogrammes of cocaine
