Youth and women of oyigbo in River State has once taken to street to display there grievance for inability for PHED to provide power for them Women and youths barricaded the entrance to the Office of the PHED after they said that their community has been without power for the past two months. One of the leaders of the protesters, Light Nwankwo, told our correspondent that there would be no further negotiations until their power is restored. He said PHED is insisting that the community is owing them N5 billion naira for power supply.

When contacted, spokesperson of PHED, John Onyi, said the community is owing N10 billion naira not N5 billion as claimed.
